About Us

Pegasus Farm! Mendocino Coast, Califonia.

Located four miles from the ocean in what is considered the “Banana belt” (the fog behaves itself) we are dedicated to growing, preserving and storing food for ourselves and our local community.. seed saving, soil building into fertility and permanent abundance.

Over the last two years we have been hand digging passive water harvesting earthworks (swales and ponds) and planting them with diverse food forests at three locations here on the coast. The response from the local wildlife has already been radical!

We are also in the process of gathering and breeding hardy, locally adapted plants and creatures for casual gardeners, homesteaders and backyard farmers alike (self-seeding annuals, perennial vegetables, medicinal herbs, fruit trees and bushes, bantam chickens, Icelandic sheep, and honeybees!)

A few of our Icelandic sheep.
Mashua! Cultivated in the Andes for it's abundant tubers.
Steve are I are both certified Permaculture Designers. We have studied with Geoff Lawton and the Occidental Arts and Ecology center.

Steve also maintain forestry management skills, and has been small scale farming here in Mendocino for over forty years with progressive/alternative schooling/life training as a child. Our homestead/farm is also a BIO (by invitation only) retreat/travelers sanctuary with music as another focus.

We own and operate a sawmill where we mill reclaimed old growth redwood using Biodiesel, we use the sawdust in our composting systems. I am also a licensed general contractor (non active). We look forward to sharing worlds with you. Namaste’
